Dr Victoria Hunkin
Dr Vikki Hunkin is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist. She has worked in Clinical Neuropsychology for many years, both in NHS Clinical Neuropsychology services and in independent and medicolegal practice. Her expertise in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment is wide-ranging and comprehensive.
Dr Hunkin has specialist training in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment of adults. She holds the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). This is the British Psychological Society’s “gold-standard” qualification in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment.
Dr Hunkin has extensive experience working with patients across neurology care pathways, from acute inpatient wards to community settings. The focus of her work is cognitive assessment to diagnose problems with memory, language, attention and other cognitive skills; and treating these problems using the best evidence-based psychological rehabilitation approaches. She is experienced in assessing a wide range of clinical problems, including learning/developmental disability, traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke, dementia, chronic neurological illness such as epilepsy, and psychiatric conditions which present with cognitive problems.
