Dr Victoria Hunkin

Dr Vikki Hunkin is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Full Member of the BPS Division of Neuropsychology and listed on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN). She has specialist, post-qualification training in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment of adults; the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). This is the highest level of qualification in the Clinical Neuropsychology specialism. She also holds the Civil Expert Witness certificate through Cardiff University’s Law School and Bond Solon.

Dr Hunkin has more than 15 years post-qualification experience in Clinical Neuropsychology, having worked as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in both the NHS and in independent and medicolegal practice. She is an expert in assessing psychological wellbeing in individuals with problems in their cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, and behavioural problems due to a neurological illness or injury. The main focus of her work has been assessment of psychological wellbeing in individuals with a range of neurological illnesses and injuries. She has extensive experience in assessing a wide range of clinical problems, including learning/developmental disability and difficulties, acquired brain injury, stroke, dementia, chronic neurological illness such as epilepsy, and psychiatric conditions which present with memory problems. As such her experience in psychological, cognitive and neuropsychological assessment is wide-ranging and comprehensive.
