Dr Alice Kennedy

Dr Alice Kennedy is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.  She offers tailored psychological, in-depth assessments and interventions to a range of clients. As a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, she specialises in the presentation of complex behavioural and emotional difficulties in both young people and adults.

Dr Kennedy has specific expertise in the assessment and formulation of mental health problems (including comorbid and complex presentations), psychological effects of physical health difficulties and injuries, attachment disorders, trauma and anxiety. She also has extensive experience working within mental health services, including primary, secondary and acute services. Her work is informed by a cognitive behavioural approach (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassionate mind approaches and eye movement and desensitisation therapy (EMDR). She has worked clinically with young people and adults since 2006 in the NHS, universities, third sector and private practice.

Dr Kennedy works with survivors of both simple and complex trauma and is a fully trained EMDR therapist. She offers expert witness services in the field of personal injury
